It would be tempting, but wrong, though, to say that in 2016, Donald Trump and Republicans represent the old America, while Hillary Clinton and the Democrats represent the new. There is a degree of truth in this, but in conversations this week with residents, NPR easily found people across the political spectrum in those two counties. In both places, though, it wasn’t hard to see the links between people’s daily lives and the way they are voting this fall..
Other than that, the best and the worst thing about the location is that you 4 hours from anywhere. This is good, because within 4 hours you can drive to: Nuremburg, Stuttgart, Munich, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Prague, Geneva, Salzburg, Vienna, Dresden, and probably the Netherlands or Luxembourg if open it up on the Autobahn. Four day passes happen once a month and if you don go somewhere on a four day then you a fucking square, there so much shit to do it not even funny.
There’s nothing wrong with going to the airport in your pyjamas. I have done, many times quite happily. At JFK (airport in New York) once, I was going on a night flight and turned up wearing men’s ones from Charvet in Paris. Cruz suspended his campaign, that put me in the undecided category. Honestly, I held out a long time to get the most information to make my opinions and thoughts known as much as I could within the Trump campaign and ultimately, when it came down to it, Mr. Trump took the time to come to North Dakota.
Truth be told, the security men should have had no trouble recognising them. Mumford Sons have sold four million copies of their 2009 debut, the Brit Award winning Sigh No More. In America, this year follow up, Babel, sold a staggering 600,000 copies in its first week of release, almost double what Justin Bieber achieved with his second album; only Taylor Swift bested them this year.
He wore a long sleeved cotton shirt to protect his arms from mosquitoes, and a beat up, tall crown cowboy hat in the apparent belief that he could prevent a return of the skin cancer that had shriveled one side of his face. To my knowledge, in various stages of his forty year career, he had killed five men, some inside the prison system, some outside, one in an argument over a woman in a bar.His charges were all black men, each wearing big stripe green and white convict jumpers and baggy pants, some wearing leather cuffed ankle restraints. They were felling trees, chopping off the limbs for burning, stacking the trunks on a flatbed truck, the heat from the fire so intense it gave off no smoke. When he saw me park on the road, he dismounted and broke open the breech of his shotgun, cradling it over his left forearm, exposing the two shells in the chambers, effectively disarming his weapon.
